Story
--------

Peter goes to a stag party and gets drunk and gets in trouble at work, because he falls asleep and releases dangerous toys. Then Peter mistakenly receives a welfare check for $150,000, he attempts to return the money to the taxpayers from a blimp at the Super Bowl. Through-out the episode, Stewie is making a brain control device.

What Marty Thought
-----------------------------
This was a very good episode for being a pilot episode. I find many shows that don't have very good pilots, but end up being good. This episode had many funny references as do most episodes. It is definitely not the best, but it is very good.

Over-All
-----------
Seth MacFarlane and the rest of the team did good writing this episode. They successfully established what is going on to set the tone for the rest of the series. You learn that Peter is an irresponsible, at times alcoholic, and just a very oblivious man. Right off the bat you learn Stewie has it out for Lois.

The Likes
-------------
-When the family is at the table and Lois asks Peter, "What did you promise me you wouldn't do last night." Peter: "Drink at the stag party." Lois: "And what did you do." Peter: "Drank at the stag p-. Oh oh oh, I almost walked right into that one"

-Peter: "Aw hell. How am I going to break this to Lois. If she finds out I got fired for drinking, she's gonna blame me." Devil: "Lie to her. its ok to lie to women. There not people like us."

The Dislikes
-----------------
None really for this episode.

Fun Facts and Allusions
--------------------------------
-The fifteen minute version of this episode that Seth pitched to the network is available on the Family Guy: Volume 2 DVD. Seth animated it entirely by himself at home, being paid only $50,000 from the network, where a pilot pitch normally runs around $1,000,000.

-The giant jug of juice that bursts into the courtroom is the Kool-Aid Man, the icon for the '80s drink with the same name (Kool-Aid). The older commercials featured him busting into houses when kids were thirsty.

-The allusion to why Hitler hated Jewish people. Hitler is lifting small weights and is scrawny and a big muscular man with a Star of David necklace on is surrounded by beautiful women.

The Final Verdict
-----------------------
Got to love the oldies.
